Who we are

JB Clean & Detail (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides residential and commercial cleaning and mobile auto detailing services in Destin, FL and the surrounding area. This page explains what information we collect through our website and how we use it.

Information we collect

When you submit a quote request through our contact form, we collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number
• The service you're interested in
• Any details you choose to share about your project

We do not collect payment information through this website, and we do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your quote request, schedule services, and communicate with you about your appointment. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store your information

Quote request details are sent securely to our email, and are also saved to a private business database so we can recover your request if an email is missed or fails to send, and so we can follow up on past inquiries. This database is not public and is not searchable or indexable by search engines or anyone outside our business. We use a third-party email service (Resend) to deliver email notifications, and a database provider (MongoDB Atlas) to store the backup record; each provider's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy practices. To prevent abuse of our contact form (such as automated spam submissions), we also use a rate-limiting service (Upstash); this service only ever receives a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address and IP address, never the values themselves, and cannot recover your original information from what it stores.

Error monitoring

If something goes wrong with our website or contact form (for example, a technical error that prevents your request from going through), we use an error-monitoring service (Better Stack, which uses the same underlying technology as Sentry) to help us notice and fix the problem. This service may automatically receive limited technical information when an error occurs, such as your browser type, the page you were on, and details about what caused the error. We've configured this service to not collect cookies, page query parameters, request or response content, or other potentially sensitive details beyond what's needed to diagnose a technical problem.

How long we keep your information

We generally retain quote-request records for up to 24 months so we can respond to inquiries, recover a request if an email is missed, follow up on past work, and maintain basic business records. Records may be deleted sooner upon request; see “Your choices” below.
